Search for South America’s best “Pole Dancer”
Aspiring pole dancers of South America were swinging, spinning and strutting their stuff on the streets of Buenos Aires Friday. The women, hoping to make it to the Miss Pole Dance World competition in Budapest next year, are using street signs, poles and even roadblocks as props in their performance. Pole dancing – best known as a strip club act – has in recent years sought favour as a respectable “sport”, and inspired thousands of women to take classes to learn the “art”.
